Close to the upper reaches of the River Deben, Lower Ufford is a sleepy backwater with local stores and a lovely pub offering good food and cask ales.

The ancient market town of Woodbridge is just a couple of miles away, as is Sutton Hoo, the National Trust's famous Anglo Saxon ship burial site. Ideal for exploring the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are extensive forest and riverside walks close by - a gem for dog walkers. Birdwatching at Minsmere and Orfordness can rewards those hoping to see the avocet and marsh harrier. The coast at Aldeburgh is within fifteen to twenty minutes drive.

Potts Cottage is a single storey self contained peaceful thatched cottage well separated from but contained within the grounds of the owner's property.

  • Open plan dining room/kitchen with tiled flooring. Pine dining table and four chairs, occasional tables, wicker chairs. French doors to private patio

  • Fitted kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, microwave, cafetiere, corner cupboard

  • A single step leads from the kitchen to the sitting room with sofa and chair, occasional tables, TV and DVD, storage cupboards

  • Wet room shower and separate washroom with washhand basin and w.c.

  • Bedroom with double bed, bedside tables and lamps, chest of drawers with mirror, plenty of hanging space, hair dryer

  • Outside

  • Patio with table and four chairs

  • Private parking space on drive outside the cottage

  • Services

  • Heating, lighting etc bed linen and towels are included

  • Heating by electric heaters and coal effect fire

  • In consideration of others, visitors are asked not to smoke inside the cottage

  • There is now WIFI access available at the cottage
