A more charming rural setting would be hard to find. A quiet narrow country lane leads you through woodland and past open fields to the tiny hamlet of Clay Common.

A traditional Suffolk cottage, the Homestead, on the eastern edge of Clay Common, is delightfully situated and very private. A large wildlife pond and open countryside spread out beyond the extensive pretty garden.

Superbly located just a couple miles from the Heritage Coast at Covehithe and Benacre Broad, fantastic areas for walking, bird watching and cycling and within a few minutes drive of Southwold, Blythburgh , Minsmere (RSPB) and Dunwich (NT) there is something here for everyone. With fantastic shops in Southwold and Halesworth you will never be short of lovely things to eat and drink. A fifteen minute walk takes you to The Plough Inn, a really pleasant and friendly pub
