Snape 2.8 miles, Orford 5 miles, Aldeburgh 8 miles, Woodbridge 10 miles

In the heart of The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Old School House is in the quiet little village of Tunstall, just a couple of miles from Snape with its internationally renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall overlooking the Alde Estuary.

The Snape Concert Hall is part of the Snape Maltings complex which has craft and art shops, a Suffolk pub with restaurant, tea rooms and lovely walks along the River Alde.

With Tunstall and Rendlesham Forests just minutes away this is a great base for walkers and cyclists and anyone visiting the Heritage coast at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.

Orford with its fine restaurants and trips to RSPB Havergate Island and Orford Ness (National Trust) is just five miles away. Minsmere, one of the most famous RSPB reserved and the fascinating lost city of Dunwich - now a tiny village are well worth a visit, as is Walberswick and Southwold.

The other half of the old school ( entrances are quite separate) is occupied by the owners who are on hand if needed.
