Built in the 1800s the Old School House has been imaginatively converted to create stunning holiday accommodation in the peaceful village of Tunstall. An extremely spacious and comfortable cottage with a really cosy feel and views over the surrounding countryside. A great cottage from which to enjoy the delights of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Snape 2.8 miles, Orford 5 miles, Aldeburgh 8 miles, Woodbridge 10 miles
In the heart of The Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Old School House is in the quiet little village of Tunstall, just a couple of miles from Snape with its internationally renowned Snape Maltings Concert Hall overlooking the Alde Estuary.
The Snape Concert Hall is part of the Snape Maltings complex which has craft and art shops, a Suffolk pub with restaurant, tea rooms and lovely walks along the River Alde.
With Tunstall and Rendlesham Forests just minutes away this is a great base for walkers and cyclists and anyone visiting the Heritage coast at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.
Orford with its fine restaurants and trips to RSPB Havergate Island and Orford Ness (National Trust) is just five miles away. Minsmere, one of the most famous RSPB reserved and the fascinating lost city of Dunwich - now a tiny village are well worth a visit, as is Walberswick and Southwold.
The other half of the old school ( entrances are quite separate) is occupied by the owners who are on hand if needed.

Ground Floor
Entrance lobby with coat hooks and boot space with doors to the bathroom and to the spacious kitchen
Bathroom with bath and overhead electric shower, basin and w.c., washing machine in enclosed cupboard -
Kitchen and dining area is roomy and well-equipped with dining table and four chairs, welsh dresser. A spacious and well equipped kitchen with electric cooker, large fridge-freezer, tumble dryer and dishwasher, pammett flooring
The twin bedded room is on the ground floor; light and spacious it has a large built in hanging cupboard and chest of drawers and views over the 'tropical' garden
The sitting room is a lovely space with large school windows, comfy sofas and adjustable coffee table, ideal for relaxed TV dinners or games, TV/video/ dvd, basic Sky package and books as well. Chandeliers, occasional tables and a coal effect electric fire all add to the ambience of calm, a great space in which to relax. An open staircase leads up to the master bedroom
First Floor
The galleried master bedroom has a lovely brass bedstead, hanging cupboard, chest of drawers and sleeping platform (around 3 ft from the ground) with futon style mattress - ideal for the younger child. Views over the open fields.
Garden
There is a small enclosed garden area with herbs, bamboos and ornamental shrubs to the front, garden furniture. To the side and rear is an attractively planted tropical garden.
