The Granary, Thorington

Southwold, Walberswick

Just ten minutes from Southwold and the sea

The Granary at Thorington

Attractively refurbished in 2005, The Granary has lost none of its former charm and interest with the old external staircase leading up to what was the old granary, now a lovely bedroom with delightful country views. The sitting room with its wood burning stove makes this a lovely cottage for holidays at any time of year. Cosy and comfortable accommodation, ideal for a family of four or two couples exploring the Suffolk coast and countryside.

DUNWICH 6miles SOUTHWOLD 7.7miles ALDEBURGH 18miles

A farm track leads to this pretty cottage, once a granary to the larger farm of the old Thorington Hall. Up a winding farm track, overlooking open fields, The Granary enjoys a wonderfully peaceful location with magical views over the rolling farmland close to the Suffolk coast

Lawned gardens to the front and rear of the cottage are ideal for those al fresco suppers whilst watching the glorious sunsets.

Thorington is hardly anything but a hamlet just south of the delightful market town of Halesworth and inland from the coast at Southwold and Dunwich by some 6 miles. Just ten minutes from Southwold and Halesworth, with excellent shopping and restaurants, nearer Thorington is The Round House restaurant (once the keeper's house to Thorington Hall) and The Queen's Head, a great eating pub, in Bramfield.
