Aldeburgh 4.5miles, Thorpeness 3miles, Snape 4miles. At the end of a row of traditional Suffolk cottages looking out over the village green, Forgetmenot Cottage has a private and pretty rear garden. Well provided, Knodishall has a village shop and post office, pub and garden centre where you can buy fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables. Just a couple of minutes walk from the cottage is the Green Trees Riding Stables from where you can ride to the beach or over the heathland.
Surrounded by Sandlings heath, in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Knodishall is just a few minutes drive from the Heritage coast and the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh, with its golf course, sailing and yacht clubs, gently sloping beach and fine restaurants. Thorpeness just a mile along the coast is a fascinating seaside village with a super boating lake, a mill and a lovely sandy beach as well as a country club and heathland golf course. Within a few minutes drive of Snape Maltings Concert Hall, home of the Aldeburgh Festival, there is a complex of shops, restaurants and galleries. There are some fabulous riverside and coastal walks and lots of opportunities for off road cycling and bird watching at Minsmere the RSPB reserve. Nearest pub The Butchers Arms, a minute's walk. Ground Floor- The cottage is entered via a cosy porch which leads directly into the dining room with pine dining table and six chairs, a old pine pew, bookselves with books, cds and local information, cd player, telephone for incoming calls only
