Once a remote medieval fishing village,now a quiet, unpoilt sea side town, Aldeburgh is famous for its wide shingle beach and Promenade. With the winding Alde Estuary on one side and protected marshland habitat on the other Aldeburgh has been an inspiration to generations of writers, artists and of course musicians, including Benjamin Britten, founder of the Aldeburgh Festival.

There are superb local facilities whatever your age or interests including sailing, golf, tennis, cinema and boating lake - a firm favourite with children of all ages! Renowned for its restaurants, bistros and great pubs, as well as its acclaimed fish and chip shop, Aldeburgh is a delightful and fascinating sea side village to visit at any time of year.
