Within a few yards of the beautiful Alde and Ore estuary and coast, Oyster Cottage is a really cosy seaside property and with small fishing boats landing their catches on the quay and the famous Butley Orford Oysterage just a 5 minute walk up the street, most aptly named.
Fantastic use of space and equipment makes this really comfortable cottage ideal for holidaying throughout the year.
Within 'staggering' distance of the pub and 'tottering' distance of the quay (where there is a little sandy beach at mid and low tide) young and old can have hours of fun watching the boats and the birds on the estuary. For the more active there is walking, crabbing and of course trips to Orford Ness and Havergate Island - great for birdwatching and a unique opportunity to learn more about everything from geology to war time history
Minutes walk from fine tea rooms, good restaurants and lovely pubs, Oyster Cottage provides a wonderful base for sailing, walking and cycling - nice open fire to sit in front of and toast your teacakes after a day's exercise. Delightfully located in Orford, in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the cottage is ideal for everything from a family beach holiday to an historic tour of Suffolk's finest castles and churches.
