"A wonderful cottage - very well equipped with everything you need and beautifully presented to move into and feel like home straight away. A great kitchen for a family Christmas and altogether a perfect place for a wonderful break. Many thanks for the small touches which made it. Mr C, Chiswick. December 2011

The house:
A new build in the Suffolk style brick and clapper board fronted, being spacious and comfortable with contemporary attention to detail and style, Rockhopper is a great self catering holiday home for all the family.
The garden:
A fenced and private garden to the rear with terrace and decked area, large raised pond and table and chairs - ideal for al fresco dining. Flowerbeds paths and large drive for two cars to the front.
On the south side of the river Deben, Waldringfield lies on a particularly beautiful stretch of the estuary in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; its waterfront little changed over the past century. Famed for its excellent sailing, the quay was once busy with barges, today smart yachts bob at their moorings whilst the sandy shore is littered with smaller sailing craft.
For those without their own boat there are daily boat trips up and down the river, a must for anyone who enjoys fine landscapes and bird watching.
Walking and cycling is a great way to see the countryside and from Rockhopper in Waldringfield there are some delightful footpaths and quiet lanes from which you will enjoy fantastic views of the river Deben and its estuary and surrounding countryside.
Within a short distance of the coast and the beach - 10 minutes in the car - there are opportunities for water skiing, golf, crabbing and to visit several fine museums including Sutton Hoo and Landguard Fort. Woodbridge is a must with its fine old timber framed buildings, antique shops and excellent restuarants.
Just a little further north Orford, a delightful coastal village from where you can visit Orford Ness and Havergate island (a wonderful RSPB reserve) - well worth a visit as are Aldeburgh and Southwold. The Snape Maltings, home of Aldeburgh Music with its June Festival and August Proms is within 20 minutes drive. Nearest pub The May Bush, very short walk away - a great riverside pub with outdoor seating overlooking the river
