If you are looking for a countryside retreat then Willow Cottage will be a first choice. Set in sixteen acres of undulating countryside, the cottage has views over the meadows and surrounding farmland from every window. Up a private drive well beyond the owner's lovely old Suffolk farmhouse Willow Cottage is just a few minutes walk from the awe-inspiring Heveningham Hall. Beautifully renovated by the current owners (look out for countryside events at Heveningham Hall) it is surrounded by open fields, peppered with tiny hamlets and pretty villages, with streams and the Blyth River running through the valley. A mile walk gets you to the Huntingfield Arms at Huntingfield. - Just for the determined perhaps and just another couple of miles down the road is the pretty village of Peasenhall with its wonderful deli, Emmetts (of national repute).
Just a twenty minute drive from the coast at Southwold, Walberswick and miles of coastal path running between Lowestoft in the north and Felixstowe in the south. For a days bird watching visit RSPB Minsmere and wander along the cliff top to Dunwich, ensuring you have time to enjoy its fascinating museum.
A great area for walking, horse riding, cycling and bird watching, this area makes a marvellous holiday destination at any time of year.
The nearest pub is the Huntingfield Arms (1 mile)which also serves local beers and good food.
