The Wooden House
Aldeburgh, Suffolk Coast
"A wonderful Christmas. The house was lovely and warm and wonderfully spacious. The children loved both the house and the garden and the trampoline was a great success. A perfect position, absolute privacy but just a few steps from the beach. Enjoyed the Christmas day dip in the sea!" P K, North London

An original Colt bungalow, The Wooden House remains faithful to its 1960s pedigree complete with luxurious 60s fixtures and fittings, all still in pristine condition.
Spacious accommodation throughout the property has been designed with luxury and comfort in mind. The three bedrooms having direct access to bathrooms or cloakrooms.
For nearly ninety years now Colt Houses have proved themselves even under the most severe conditions: they are warm in winter and cool in summer. Another feature of Colt houses and, of course The Wooden House is that most rooms are double aspect, light, bright and spacious and with the gardens surrounding The Wooden House, everyone can enjoy excellent views of the garden.
Aldeburgh has long been a favourite sea side escape for artists, musicians and families looking for a peaceful holiday break reminiscent of a bygone age; Aldeburgh is one of Britains prettiest Victorian coastal resort. The inspiration for much of Benjamin Britten's music and centre for his creation - The Aldeburgh Festival - the little town still plays host to concerts, film, theatre and poetry festivals. In the heart of the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Aldeburgh is an ideal location for bird watchers, walkers and of course sailors.
