At the end of a row of traditional Suffolk cottages looking out over the village green, Forgetmenot Cottage has a private and pretty rear garden. Well provided, Knodishall has a village shop, pub and garden centre where you can buy fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Surrounded by Sandlings heath, in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Knodishall is just a few minutes drive from the Heritage coast and the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh, with its golf course, sailing and yacht clubs, gently sloping beach and fine restaurants. Thorpeness is even closer; a fascinating seaside village with a super 60 acre boating lake - rowing boats, canoes, punts and sailing boats - a mill and a lovely sandy beach as well as a country club and heathland golf course.
Within a few minutes drive of Snape Maltings Concert Hall, home of the Aldeburgh Festival, there is a complex of shops, restaurants and galleries.
There are some fabulous riverside and coastal walks and lots of opportunities for off road cycling and bird watching at Minsmere, the RSPB reserve. Nearest pub The Butchers Arms, a minute's walk.
