In the fascinating seaside village of Thorpeness, close to Aldeburgh and Southwold, the comfort of this house, the spaciousness of the garden and the facilities and feel of Thorpeness are enough to encourage anyone to come back time and again.

Aldeburgh 1.5 miles, Orford 11.3 miles, Woodbridge 18 miles, Southwold 19 miles

Alexander House, a luxury Suffolk property, enjoys the best of both worlds; in the heart of Thorpeness, an Arts and Crafts designed seaside village, close to Aldeburgh on the Suffolk Heritage coast, Alexander House is in fact much older and was once a farm house. It has loads of privacy situated at the end of a private lane with access to heathland footpaths beyond, yet is just a couple of minutes walk from the beach and the fascinating amenities which Thorpeness enjoys.

In the centre of the village is the Meare, a wildlife rich lake, with rowing boats and punts for hire. Thorpeness also has a country club with tennis courts, golf course, attractive pub and an excellent village shop and new restaurant, The Thorpeness Brasserie & Emporium.

Just a short walk along a seaside footpath will take you to Aldeburgh, home of the Aldeburgh Festival and the Freud Summer Theatre, where there are several excellent restaurants, pubs and lovely shops, as well as a fascinating museum, boating lake, sailing and yacht club. RSPB Minsmere, Dunwich and Southwold are all within a short drive.

"We have just returned from a super stay at Alexander House. It was a wonderful property and just perfect for our birthday celebrations. Please pass on our thanks to the owners for such a lovely comfortable house." Ms P, Berkshire.
