The property: Set amongst nearly 200 acres of conservation farmland, The Granary at Croft Farm has been converted to create a spacious 3-bedroom holiday property which will be enjoyed by all generations. All doors open onto the sunny south facing garden which is fenced, making it toddler friendly. Upstairs rooms have views over the garden and meadows or the stables (no horses unfortunately).
There is a good sized farm kitchen and separate utility room for the boots, buckets and spades etc.
The Grounds: There is a small south facing fenced garden with grassed area and sun deck terrace with table and chairs and parasol. To the side of the cottage is a parking area for several cars.
Croft Farm is a mixture of sheep grazing meadows and arable crops with some delightful circular walks which eventually join the Suffolk Coastal Path at Snape - a 40 mile path running from Felixstowe in the south to Lowestoft in the north.
Minimum Hire Three nights; except in high season when it is a week. Changeover is on a Saturday for weekly lets in high season.
Eating and Drinking: You will be spoilt for choice at The Granary at Croft Farm; there is an excellent farm shop a mile away which stocks a great selection of local produce including fruit grown on the farm (you can pick your own). The Snape village shop includes a small off-license and sells daily papers. Further down the road at Snape Maltings look out for the Food Hall - great deli and fudge and a monthly farmers market. If cooking is not your thing worry not - there are three pubs in the village, all of which use local produce on their menus. A top quality menu with dishes from all over the world at The Plough and Sail, amazing pizza and Italian style food at The Golden Key and lovely Sunday lunch at The Crown. Just 15 minutes from Aldeburgh where there is a great selection of restaurants, including the Light House, The Regatta and 2 fish and chip shops.
To do and to see: Loads - Snape MaltingsConcert Hall, home of Aldeburgh Music has a year round programme of concerts, opera, jazz and ballet - something for everyone in fact. Down at the river you will find the RSPB Advice Centre and from April throughout the summer you can enjoy lovely boat trips along the river towards Iken in one direction and Aldeburgh in the other. This is a wonderful location for walkers; you can walk to Aldeburgh across the heaths and beside the river, wander through the woods and explore the river. Once in Aldeburgh you can enjoy the beach as well as the great restaurants, pubs and shops.

A stable door opens into the large kitchen / dining room which includes electric cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster and a good supply of china, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is plenty of room for six people at the dining table.
The sitting room has floor to ceiling windows with views over the walled garden and the meadows beyond. There is a sofa and arm chairs, coffee tables and lamps, a flat screen TV with DVD player, stereo and a small selection of DVDs and books.
The utility room includes a sink, washing machine and boiler cupboard, there is plenty of space here for the storage of outdoor clothes, pushchairs, fishing nets etc.
Beyond the utility room is a large shower room with large walk-in shower, w.c., wash basin and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 1 - 2 steps lead down from the landing to this beamed double bedded room with bedside tables, chest of drawers and wardrobe which has lovely views over the meadows.
There is a family bathroom with bath, wash basin and w.c. and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2 - a bunk bedroom with full sized bunks, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The window looks out over a grassed area with stables behind.
Bedroom 3 - a twin bedded room with chest of drawers, built in hanging cupboard and bedside tables.
There is a fenced south facing garden with grassed area with shrubs and a patio with table and chairs and parasol.
Beyond the garden is a dedicated parking area for 2 - 3 cars
Central heating and electricity are included.
Bed-linen and towels are provided but please bring your own beach towels.
A highchair and travel cot is available, please request at time of booking and please bring all bedding for the cot
A limited broadband / wi fi service is provided. Internet reception is generally good but the connection provided should NOT be relied on for work use and is unsuitable for games or downloading of films. Please bring connection cables as you may have to attach your laptop to the router. Excessive use of the internet will be charged at cost.
