Bury St Edmund is an ancient market town in West Suffolk which is not far from Cambridge and Newmarket, It makes for the perfect getaway with over 1000 years of history, medieval streets and elegant Georgian squares. Interestingly, a beautiful cathedral can be found in Bury, however, it is still classed as a town.

Don't forget to try before you buy in the Beer Cafe! The infamous Christmas market has been named the best in the country. It is held in November and is home to over 300 different stalls, along with a long line-up of annual events of festivals and fairs.
