The property dates from the 16th century and has many original features such as a beamed interior and low doorways. The summerhouse provides a peaceful retreat in which to unwind and relax. It also boasts a garage perfect for storing bikes. It is conveniently located for Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket and Cambridge. The unspoilt village of Denston is a true Suffolk secret and lies within easy reach of the historic medieval wool towns of Lavenham, Clare and Long Melford. Ideal for exploring on foot or by bicycle. This is a particularly wonderful location for cyclists with a very popular cycle shop and cafe under 10 miles away. Maglia Rosso is the perfect stop off after a ride. Shop: 2 miles. Pub: 2 miles.

Denston is a peaceful village in rural West Suffolk, lying in the upper reaches of the Glem Valley. The 15th century parish church of St Nicholas is one of the most beautiful in the county. Bury St Edmunds with its cathedral and Abbey Gardens is a short drive away. Lavenham and the historic wool towns are within easy reach, as are the antiques shops at Clare, Cavendish and Long Melford. It is an ideal location for a day out at Newmarket races, or trying your hand at punting in Cambridge. The National Trust properties at Ickworth and Melford Hall are well worth a visit and nearby Kentwell Hall holds many interesting events year round. It's a good base for walking through the countryside and cycling along the quiet lanes.

- The front door opens onto the living and dining area with drop leaf table and chairs for 5, 3 seat sofa, armchair, foot stool, TV and DVD player.

- The double bedroom (which has a low doorway on entry) has a double bed, bookshelf with books, wardrobe with hanging space and occasional chair.
- The small bunk room has bunk beds and occasional chair with lamp and a small set of drawers.
- Family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, washbasin and w.c.
- A traditional English cottage garden with lawns, flowerbeds, patio, apple trees and garden furniture.
- There is parking for 2 cars. Please note that there is a couple of steps from the parking area to the cottage.

Lovely cottage comfortable and bursting with character, splendid any time of year. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apple tree cottage is quiet quaint an full of character it sits in a rural setting yet within easy reach of many places of interest. The cottage itself is well provided for a comfortable stay and time spent sitting in the summer house is not wasted. There are loads of nice walks and cycling opportunities in the area.
