Sudbury Cottages

SudburySudbury is a small medieval town located on the River Stour and in the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It is well known as the birthplace of famous portrait and landscape painter Thomas Gainsborough. The house he was born in is now a museum and gallery, Gainsborough's House. Another famous painter, John Constable, was also inspired by the landscapes of this area. There a number of excellent shops, cafes and restaurants which you can enjoy after a stroll around the ancient streets of this South Suffolk town.
