A very comfortable and well appointed cottage. We have had a lovely few days helped by fabulous weather. A most enjoyable experience. Thank you. - 1st March 2019
The perfect cottage retreat. Cosy, warm and welcoming. So well thought through - a taste of ages past with all the mod cons. Funky touches and everything you need - plug-ins by the bed, stress free fire and a beautiful, centuries-old view. Loved it. Thank you! - 1st February 2019
We loved our Christmas stay and had everything we needed. The children enjoyed the toys. Comfortable beds! - 31st December 2018
We've loved the 'straw bale' concept and the rural-urban decor. Even in late October, the main room is so full of light. Thank you for all the details that made us feel so welcome. - 2nd November 2018
A lovely, cosy, unique cottage to spend a short break in. The views are stunning, so many places to visit and so peaceful to come back to. Thank you. - 26th October 2018

What a great place for my 'base camp' doing my photographic project, this time covering Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. Excellent detail throughout and a very fascinating property. - 28th September 2018
What a stunning place! We've had such a relaxing time, beautifully decorated. One morning it rained and we work up to the fire already on, bliss! Many, many thanks for the lovely touches. - 31st August 2018
We all enjoyed our stay, loved Straw Bale Cottage! - 27th August 2018
Had a lovely time. Everything to a very high spec. Dad (86) enjoyed every aspect of the cottage, especially the birds in the garden, he spent many, many hours there. Love to return. - 17th August 2018
A lovely, well-equipped and clean property. Interesting design and good layout, beautiful views. Thank you for the welcome cake and wine, much appreciated. Enjoyed exploring the area especially Aldeburgh and Bury St Edmunds. - 13th July 2018
We had such a lovely stay. The cottage is beautiful and very well equipped. Every time we thought 'I wonder if there's a...' there was! A calm and tranquil setting. Our 17 month old loved the garden and it was great to be able to breakfast outside. We really appreciated the little extras such as blankets for the cot but special mention must be made for the children's toys and car - I think we'll have to buy one! Thank you so much, we hope to come again! - 2nd July 2018
Very relaxing and restful. Lovely cottage - a lot of thought has gone into creating a home-from-home away. - 1st July 2018
Beautiful! What a lovely cottage, very comfortable. Wonderful weather, outside in the sun all afternoon to late evening. Saw plenty of wildlife including pheasants and deer. Hope to return, it is a very peaceful spot. - 28th May 2018
As the first guests to stay in Straw Bale Cottage we had a lovely long weekend over Easter. The weather was awful but didn't spoil our stay! We really appreciated the little extras the owners had thought of - fresh flowers, an Easter egg and cake! We had a lovely lunch at The Kings Arms in Haughley. When the weather is a little kinder there are several lovely walks from the cottage that the owners will assist you with. The cottage is very unique and the owners are great and helpful hosts. - 2nd April 2018
