A breathtakingly beautiful detached house surrounded by an acre of garden and upon the edge of the Blackheath Nature Reserve, you can rest assure that you’ll find peace and tranquillity here at The Old Mill House. A house of large proportions, there is plenty of room for every party member to relax and un-wind and with the benefit of a 40ft outdoor heated swimming pool in the summer months (see below), what more could you ask for? Wonderfully furnished, The Old Mill House is a perfect composition of traditional and new. Period features from inglenook fireplaces and exposed beams meet contemporary 21st century comforts to provide an utterly welcoming and memorable holiday home that you’ll long to return to time and again. Nestled in the pretty Suffolk village of Wenhaston, complete with village pub, The Old Mill House is only but a short drive from Southwold, Dunwich, Walberswick and Aldeburgh to name but a few. Such an unrivalled location makes The Old Mill House ideal for walks, birdwatchers and families alike. The beautiful gardens lay to the rear of the property and are wonderfully varied. Here, you’ll find the remains of the former mill, where this beloved house took its’ name. A joy in all seasons, enjoy family alfresco dining come summer, to evenings spent by the fire come winter.

We just wanted to say what a wonderful house, garden and location the Old Mill House is. We all just loved our break here and may well take it again. It was delightful and perfect.
Excellent pub within walking distance The Star Inn-With simple home cooking, using local ingredients such as Suffolk Red Poll Beef that is reared in the village. The pub has open fires to warm your bones in the winter and a good selection of traditional bar games, the large garden has a boules pitch to enjoy in the summer.
