Woodbridge & Orford Dog Friendly Guide
So Many Walkies!
With Rendlesham and Tunstall Forests and the Rivers Deben, Ore and Alde in the area you’re spoilt for choice for dog walks in the Woodbridge and Orford area.
Most places are very dog friendly, but please keep your dog on a lead when visiting the many nature reserves and protected areas around Orford Ness.
Pubs for Pooches
Many of the local eateries and pubs in the area are dog-friendly, but of particular note in Woodbridge is the Kings Head that welcomes ‘all dogs and well-behaved children’! This 15th Century coach house on Market Hill, Woodbridge is run by Mike and Lucy Ball and their two labradors. So fond of dogs are they, that they even have a ‘Mutts Menu’ serving such delicious treats as cows ears, honey dried pig snouts and knotted bones, alongside their classic pub menu.
For an ‘out of town’ pooch pub experience the Ramsholt Arms is well worth a visit. This popular pub and dining room with south facing terrace is situated on the banks of the River Deben and is a delightful setting to watch the sun set after enjoying a dog walk around one of the many routes in the area.
